Job Description
The Recreation Aide assists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents at Heritage Lodge Personal Care, a long-term care home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The role requires a college diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent, and previous experience working with seniors. The successful candidate will work in a team environment to create a safe, supportive and enriching environment for residents.
Requirements
- College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent
- Previous experience working with seniors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid provincial driver's license to transport residents by van (i.e.: Class 4; Class F)
- Complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check)
