Job Description
Progressive Machining is seeking a full-time machinist to set up and operate manual lathes and mills. CNC experience is a plus. The role involves setup, material identification, accurate reading of drawings, heavy lifting, material grinding, inspection, equipment maintenance, and teamwork. Scheduled hours are Monday-Thursday, 7am-4:30pm, with overtime available.
Requirements
- Setup machinery for large and small parts
- Identify material to be cut
- Accurately read a tape measure and customer drawings
- Lift and move heavy objects (50lb+)
- Use grinder to grind edges of material
- Inspect cut products ensuring tolerances are met
- Maintain equipment
- Keep work area clean
- Assist co-workers when needed
- Perform other reasonable tasks as requested
