YMCA Camp Silver Creek - Unit Aide 2026

Unit Aides support all aspects of camp at Camp Silver Creek, a magical place for children and adults alike. The role involves assisting in camper supervision, teaching activities, and performing support tasks such as serving meals, cleaning, and providing coverage as needed.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Prior leadership or childcare experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and desire to grow as a leader
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, campers, and leadership
• Ability to respond appropriately to safety and emergency situations
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to become certified within the first 30 days of employment prior to camp start
• Current Oregon Food Handler’s Certification, or ability to obtain certification
• Reliable transportation
• Pass a rigorous criminal history background check

Benefits

• Paid weekly stipend of $475+ DOE
• Additional $60/week stipend for lifeguard certification
