Job Description
The YMCA is hiring a Unit Lead for the 2026 season at Camp Silver Creek. The Unit Lead will supervise staff and campers in one unit, provide support and guidance, and ensure a positive and professional experience for campers and staff. The Unit Lead will also oversee unit-specific programming, maintain cleanliness and organization, and adhere to State Park requirements and YMCA policies.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age (21 preferred)
- At least 1 prior summer of overnight camp counseling experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
- Knowledge of Leave No Trace principles
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Oregon Food Handler's Certification
