Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will design, fabricate, test, install and operate components and systems for Fermilab's particle accelerators. The role involves utilizing fundamental mechanical engineering concepts and principles, collaborating with vendors, and working with collaborators throughout the lab and the world. The engineer will be responsible for directing the activities of drafters/designers, technicians, and co-op engineering students and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• 6+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor’s, in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering discipline
• 4+ years of engineering experience with a master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering discipline
