Tunnel & Geotechnical Engineering Lead

Ferrovial is seeking a Tunnel & Geotechnical Engineering Lead to provide functional leadership and accountability for Tunnel and Geotechnical engineering across Ferrovial Construction UK & Ireland. The role involves leading best practice for tunneling and geotechnical engineering, providing senior technical leadership on complex underground works, and managing technical risks and opportunities related to tunneling and geotechnical engineering.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects with significant tunneling and/or geotechnical scope, ideally within the UK.
• Strong track record in tunnel and geotechnical design and construction, including leadership roles on complex, high-risk projects.
• Experience operating within Joint Venture environments and managing interfaces with designers, specialist contractors, and clients.
• Knowledge of UK design standards, CDM regulations, and construction methods.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
