The Practice Manager II leads and oversees Fetter Health Care Network Center(s) at their sites to ensure and promote high-quality medical care, providing leadership in administrative matters, clinical program development, quality management, utilization management and staff education.
Requirements
- Works closely with and maintains good relationships with the Director of Operations.
- Spends much of their time with direct patient contact and clinical care.
- Actively engaged in helping to identify and facilitate the solving of all operational and clinical issues for the center(s).
- Oversees support operations, appointment scheduling and other related functions of the health center and recommend course of action to assist medical staff.
- In conjunction with the Nurse Manager, evaluates and recommends changes for better utilization of facilities, services, and staff; participates in re-design of clinic operations to improve financial and operational performances.
- Recommend health center policies and procedures.
- Oversees purchase of supplies and equipment for all clinical activities.
- Prepares and submits records, reports, and statistical data as required.
- Ensures that orientation and training of all medical and clinical staff is accomplished at the center(s).
- Must be able to communicate effectively when responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Must be able to write clear and concise business letters and reports and effectively present information to senior management.
- Ability to identify problems and create workable solutions with minimal supervision. Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities.
- Actively participates in the Quality Improvement Plan.
- Knowledge of HEDIS Measures.
- Knowledge of Process Improvement methodologies (PDSA, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Knowledge of physician office practice operations.
- Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards and requirements.
- Knowledge to mentor, influence, and manage through matrix reporting relationships.
- Project Management skilled in project planning, task prioritization, effectively managing resources, outcomes measurement, and tracking.
- Effective problem-solving skills to include data analysis and judgement to make effective decisions.
- Represents the organization at meetings as required.
- Supervises directly and indirectly 20 - 50 employees of the Health Center.
