Job description
As an Electrical Engineer on the Hardware Team at Field AI, you will contribute to the design and implementation of electrical systems that enable power and communications across the sense and compute packages. Your work will span across power systems, wire harnesses, PCB design, and communications networks with the goal of ensuring our systems are electrically robust, safe, and scalable.
Design and implement electrical systems, including power architecture, wire harness design, PCB design, and networking & communication. Conduct electrical calculations, testing, and debugging. Collaborate with sensor, compute, and mechanical teams to ensure end-to-end system compatibility and robustness.
Experience designing and testing low-voltage regulated power systems, hands-on design and integration of custom wire harnesses, proficiency in PCB design, and familiarity with communication protocols. Ability to work across mechanical, compute, and autonomy teams to deliver robust integrated systems.

Tech, Software & IT Services
Field AI develops a physics‑first, risk‑aware foundation model that transforms general‑purpose robots into autonomous agents capable of operating safely in complex, unstructured environments. Their Field Foundation Model (FFM) blends data‑driven learning with physics‑based reasoning, creating a virtuous data flywheel that continuously refines uncertainty assessment, risk calculation, and decision‑making across deployments. The platform eliminates dependence on pre‑trained data, GPS, maps, or pre‑programmed routes, enabling rapid scaling of autonomous fleets worldwide. By focusing on safety‑first autonomy, Field AI distinguishes itself as a leader in deploying robots at scale across any robot type and environment. The company’s culture prioritizes rigorous engineering, continuous improvement, and collaboration with partners to push the boundaries of robotic autonomy.
