Superintendent

The Superintendent role is responsible for exercising direct supervision over assigned projects, providing direction, leadership, and guidance to employees and subcontractors. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience in commercial construction projects.

Requirements

• Work with Project Manager in preparation of project schedule and budget
• Become thoroughly familiar with project plans, specifications, and documents
• Select methods and acquire equipment for the project
• Understand and enforce company safety policies
• Employ or discharge workmen and intermediate foremen as needed
• Conduct meetings with subordinates, subcontractors, and others
• Approve or disapprove invoices and monies spent on the job
• Inspect the work of employees and subcontractors to ensure quality
• Manage large groups of personnel and accomplish desired results through subordinate levels of management
