Job Description
FLYR is seeking a Principal or Staff Platform Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure and developer experience. The role focuses on architectural leadership, technical strategy, initiative ownership, cross-functional alignment, and developer experience, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD, Kubernetes, and large-scale infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be expert in cloud engineering, a strong communicator, and adaptable to complex environments.
Requirements
- Strong experience with cloud engineering, GCP and/or AWS.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kubernetes architecture, administration, security, and networking.
- Deep expertise in modern release engineering practices and tooling (Helm, ArgoCD).
- Strong knowledge of observability best practices and tooling (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform).
- Proven track record of designing, building, and operating highly distributed and reliable systems at scale.
- Exceptional communication skills.
