Job Description
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist is accountable to the Administrative Director of the laboratory or a laboratory supervisor, working cooperatively with the Laboratory Director, Lab Supervisors, Pathologists and fellow employees to ensure high quality laboratory services for all age groups.
Requirements
- Perform high complexity procedures in all areas of the clinical laboratory
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain inventory levels and take annual inventory
- Assist with phlebotomy, specimen accessioning, phone requests and customer inquiries
- Prepare procedure/policy drafts for new procedures
- Assist with certification inspections and take call for the laboratory/blood bank
