Job Description
The PET/CT Technologist prepares and administers high energy short acting radioisotopes to patients in preparation for diagnostic procedures. The technologist is responsible for performing radiation safety and quality control procedures.
Requirements
- Exhibits working knowledge of the Positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, dose calibrator, radiation detector, radiopharmaceutical tracking software, and PET procedures.
- Administers high energy short acting radioisotopes, using advanced ALARA concepts, and following NRC and state policies and guidelines.
- Maintains a clean and neat work environment, keeping areas stocked at all times.
