Job Description
The Surgical Technologist 2 prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures, following hospital regulations and safety guidelines. They assist with pre-operation preparations, transport patients, and maintain a sterile field. The role involves some degree of creative problem-solving and requires judgment.
Requirements
- Ensure proper equipment, instruments and supplies are provided for procedures and specialty areas.
- Follow proper sterile techniques and maintain a sterile field at all times.
- Assist in the positioning of patients as needed.
- Appropriate procedure supplies and equipment for age specific needs is provided within specified guidelines.
- Active participation in departmental improvement activities and staff meetings.
