Surgical Technologist 2

The Surgical Technologist 2 is responsible for preparing and maintaining medical equipment and patient-related areas, ensuring sterile conditions and patient safety during surgical procedures. This role involves assisting surgeons, contributing to a well-organized setting, and proactively responding to emergencies. The position requires a commitment to follow established hospital and industry procedures.

Requirements

• Ensure proper equipment, instruments and supplies are provided for procedures and specialty areas.
• Perform pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment.
• Follow proper sterile techniques and maintain a sterile field at all times.
• Anticipate and respond to efficiency when performing assignments.
• Assist with procedure/patient preparation for circulating RN.
• Assist with positioning patients as needed.
• Assist with clerical OR desk duties after hours.
• Actively respond to emergency situations and/or trauma procedures in the OR.
• Assist with covering and supporting OR staff
• Demonstrate competency in multiple service specialties
• Demonstrate commitment to new team members
