Surgical Technologist 3

The Surgical Technologist 3 prepares and maintains surgical equipment, follows hospital protocols, and assists surgeons with pre-op preparations. This role requires sterilization, proper instrument handling, and a focus on quality and patient safety. Employees may need to travel to and from the operating room.

Requirements

• Proper equipment, instruments, and supplies are provided.
• Anticipates and responds to assignments.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Demonstrates superior knowledge of the surgical equipment and advances surgical instrumentation within major specialties.
• Ability to function independently.
• Knowledge of AORN guidelines.
• Experience with autoclave sterilization.
• Teamwork and participation in departmental activities.
