Job Description
Formic is on a mission to reshape American manufacturing by making automation accessible to every factory. As a Robotics Field Service Engineer, you will serve as the front line of technical execution across Formic’s deployed robotic cells, diagnosing and resolving issues, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and representing Formic directly at customer sites.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on field service experience supporting robotic or industrial automation equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and PLC or robotic control systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings
- Experience using CMMS platforms to track and report maintenance activity
- Comfortable with local travel up to 80% and overnight travel up to 50%
- Clear written and verbal communicator capable of producing structured service reports
- Strong adherence to safety standards including LOTO and industrial compliance practices
