Fortera is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineering Intern to support project engineering and enterprise information management initiatives. This internship contributes to a strategic initiative focused on evaluating and preparing enterprise project data to enable the development of an enterprise data lake and AI-enabled information interface. The intern will work closely with project engineers, project managers, and digital transformation leaders to review and organize technical documentation, assess data quality and structure, and support the development of standardized information workflows.
Requirements
- Review and evaluate engineering and project documentation to identify data sources, formats, and structure
- Support the assessment and preparation of enterprise project data for integration into a centralized data lake architecture
- Assist in organizing and structuring technical information to improve accessibility, traceability, and consistency across projects
- Collaborate with project engineers and project managers to map existing information workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to the development of standardized data structures, naming conventions, and documentation practices
- Support initiatives to improve information governance, data quality, and metadata documentation
- Assist in preparing documentation and process guides to support long-term adoption of improved data management practices
