Job Description
The Literacy Coach will provide instructional support and coaching to teachers to ensure students reach their academic potential. The coach will analyze data, plan professional development, and implement schoolwide literacy priorities.
Requirements
- Strong ability to collect and analyze data to make instructional decisions
- Strong knowledge in K-8 ELA Florida Standards
- Strong knowledge of the components of balanced literacy
- Master teacher in literacy with strong skill in internalizing curriculum and modeling lessons
- Strong coach of teachers with expertise in observation and feedback
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
- Possession of or eligibility for valid teaching certification
