We are seeking a Network Specialist to join our Central IT Services team at Fraunhofer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing our network infrastructure, including configuration and integration of network components, analysis and troubleshooting, and unifying and standardizing existing network components and services.

Requirements

• Completed university degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science or a comparable field
• Minimum two- to three-year relevant professional experience
• In-depth expertise in the administration of network components (L3-routing / firewalling, L2-switching, WLAN)
• In-depth knowledge in the network field (e.g. Cisco-CCNA, etc.) and practice with network protocols (e.g. TCP, IPv4, IPv6, 802.1X)
• Very good German language skills, both spoken and written, as well as good English language skills
• Solution-oriented, independent and reliable work, communication skills and enthusiasm for teamwork
• Willingness to travel
