The Fraunhofer Society is looking for a researcher to investigate AI methods for digital circuit design. The successful candidate will analyze design and layout flows of Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) Silicon Digital Circuits and design (sub-) components of digital circuits.
Requirements
- Completed scientific academic studies (Master) in Electrical Engineering, Communications, Computer Science, or Microsystem Technology, or a comparable field of study
- Knowledge of the functioning of CMOS digital circuits and technologies for the realization of CMOS
- First experience in the digital field with regard to circuit design of CMOS components (e.g. with VHDL or SystemVerilog)
- Knowledge of the digital design process from RTL to GDSII is desirable
- Knowledge of design-flow tools (e.g. Xcelium, Genus, Innovus) as well as scripting languages (in particular Python) and AI frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) is an advantage
- Independent, scientific working method and fast familiarity with new problem areas
- Good English, team and communication strength, as well as enthusiasm for experimental work
