Promotion in IC-Design mit dem Schwerpunkt CMOS-Backplanes

The Fraunhofer Institute (IPMS) is seeking a Promotion in IC-Design, focusing on CMOS Backplanes. They develop innovative technologies in photonic microsystems and related areas, creating flexible and interdisciplinary teams for automotive, industry, and space exploration. The role involves developing new motherboard architectures, and offers growth potential through promotion and participation in a PhD collaboration. The position is for 3 years with possibility of becoming a postdoc.

Requirements

• Completed natural/engineering science undergraduate degree (Master's / Diploma) in electrical engineering, microelectronics, information technology, physics, or a similar field.
• Good knowledge of digital, very good in digital analog semiconductor circuit technology.
• Practical experience in analog design flow as well as experience with CAD tools (for the design of integrated circuits).
• Solid knowledge in scripting (e.g. in Python) and programming (e.g. C++, C++)
• First knowledge in digital and mixed-signal design flow is a plus
• Strong communication skills and an open personality with team spirit
• Strong German (B2 level) and English skills (B1 level)
