Job Description
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is looking for a Researcher in Czochralski Crystal Growth at their Ettlingen site. The position involves developing, investigating, and improving crystal growth procedures for Czochralski crystal growth of oxide crystals for laser-optical applications.
Requirements
- A completed scientific university degree (Diploma/Master/PhD) in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, crystallography, or comparable subjects
- Long experience in crystal growth, particularly in Czochralski growth
- Advanced knowledge in crystal analysis and the associated analytical methods (X-ray diffraction, spectroscopy)
- Basic knowledge of laser physics or nonlinear optics is an advantage
- Very good German (C1/C2 level) and very good English (at least B2 level) in speech and writing
