Clinical Immunogenetics Laboratory Associate Director

The Clinical Immunogenetics Laboratory Associate Director will oversee the scientific and technical operations of the Clinical Immunogenetics Laboratory (CIL) at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA. The Associate Director will provide expertise, review, and approve projects and processes within CIL, and support program planning, quality assurance, and staff development.

Requirements

• Earned doctoral degree in chemical, biological, medical technology, or clinical laboratory science
• Certified and continue to be certified by a board approved by HHS or a Doctor of Medicine, osteopathy, or podiatric medicine licensed to practice medicine
• 4 years' experience in high complexity histocompatibility testing, including 2 years directing or supervising high complexity histocompatibility testing and 2 years clinical training or experience
• HLA laboratory director certification from American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics or able to obtain within 1-2 years
• Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and ability to make independent decisions
