Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure)

Fresha, a leading marketplace platform for beauty & wellness, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Platform and Infrastructure Engineering Team. You'll be instrumental in enhancing the platform and engineering department, ensuring engineers have the best tools and resources for efficient development and feature delivery. The Platform team's mission is to improve the software development lifecycle by making it reliable, secure, fast, and cost-effective, prioritizing engineer needs and optimizing budgets. The role involves defining infrastructure architecture, automation, leadership, developer experience enhancement, knowledge sharing, and ensuring observability and accessibility of data. The company fosters a collaborative environment with 4 days a week in the London office and 1 day of remote work.

Requirements

• Have experience in software development
• Demonstrate strong opinions and actively contribute ideas, driving discussions and solutions.
• Are deeply passionate about their work and proactively challenge existing processes to foster continuous improvement.
• Experience working with microservices and distributed systems at scale
• Have experience with working on cross-team projects
• Have AWS experience, we use EKS, RDS, S3, Cloudfront and MSK extensively
• Have an understanding of SLIs, SLOs & SLAs
• Knowledge of platform and ops concepts such as networking and Linux administration
• Experience with monitoring tools: we use Datadog, Grafana, ELK, Sentry and OpsGenie.
