The Senior Accountant will support the Controller in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining effective financial controls. This position plays a vital role in the financial health of FPHNYC by managing accounting processes and supporting audits and grant reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and grant compliance.
- Experience with financial management software and reporting systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
