Job Description
The Software Engineer will provide engineering support for mission applications within a SaaS/PaaS Linux environment, hosted on an 'on-prem' cloud. This role involves developing and maintaining applications, using open source software, and leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Rook, Python, and Git. The engineer will also work with S3 and Git Version Control Systems.
Requirements
- Proficient using the Linux CLI
- Experience developing and maintaining Bash scripts
- Software development experience using Python in a Linux environment
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitLab CI
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- S3 Object Store technologies such as IBM Cloud Object Store, AWS S3
- Git Version Control System
- Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
