Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Mine Surveyor to provide essential survey control for a variety of mining needs and detailed surveys of the mine workings and plant infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years post graduate surveying experience in an open cut mining environment and 3 years in a management and/or high level supervisory position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Sworn Land Surveyor
- Formal professional or technical registration in appropriate area of expertise.
- Minimum of 7 years post graduate surveying experience in an open cut mining environment.
- 3 years in a management and/or high level supervisory position.
- Expert knowledge in the use of modern surveying instruments and post processing methods;
- Survey network establishment and adjustment;
- Proficiency in at least one Mining Software Package, and excellent computer skills and knowledge in MS Office Suite: dBase, word processing, spreadsheet;
- Excellent communication, training, interpersonal and supervisory skills
