Behavioral Intervention Aide

The Behavioral Intervention Aide will assist in academic and behavior support duties to individual or small groups of students within the regular classroom and other school settings.

Requirements

• Work with scholars in small groups or in one-to-one assignments to reinforce or follow up on behavioral consequences, learning activities, or intervention plans
• Assist in the implementation of behavior intervention plans
• Facilitate and support social interactions and foster the development of positive relationships between scholars
• Assist all scholars by modeling appropriate behavior and attitudes and providing emotional support and general guidance
• Collect information on scholar progress through observation, daily contact, and maintenance of accurate data trackers, and progress records/logs
• Administer disciplinary consequences as directed by the Dean of School Culture
• Supervise scholars during cool downs, classroom removal, in school suspension, lunch detention, after school detention and other assigned consequences
• Effectively deescalate behavioral issues and outburts, remain calm and firm with scholars, and communicate effectively with scholars, staff and parents
• Support the operations team with clerical tasks, setup, and office duties as assigned
