Senior Data Analyst, Healthcare Economics

Garner is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join its team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have experience in data, financial, and risk analytics in a healthcare environment, with expertise in value-based care, population health, or clinical risk adjustment. The role will involve working on core systems, owning financial ROI models, and shaping data-driven insights to steer members to better healthcare outcomes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in performing data, financial and/or risk analytics in a healthcare environment
• 2+ years of experience using SQL to query, analyze, and manipulate data, including experience with one or more semantic technologies (dbt, Power BI, or similar)
• 2+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence and visualization tools including Looker, Power BI, Tableau etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present information and analysis results effectively
• A demonstrated ability to independently solve difficult problems and deliver high quality results to senior stakeholders
• Deep expertise in value-based care, population health, or clinical risk adjustment, with a nuanced understanding of healthcare data (claims, network & contracting, social determinants of health)
