Senior Accountant (US Experience)

We are looking for a Senior Accountant based in South Africa to partner with a US client and support their end to end accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the numbers, collaborating across borders, and using their US experience to add real value.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CA(SA) preferred
• Minimum 4 to 7 years of relevant experience as an accountant for US entities, including practical exposure to US GAAP and US based stakeholders
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and related accounting standards
• Proven experience with QuickBooks Online
• Solid accounting track record with accurate and timely reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships in virtual teams
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and collaborate within a distributed team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
