
Job description
The Advanced Programs Aerodynamic Design Lead Engineer is responsible for leading the invention, aerodynamic design, development, integration, and testing of advanced military propulsion technologies, with a focus on augmentors, exhaust nozzles, inlets, and exhaust aero systems.
Aerodynamic design engineering ownership of military engine augmentors & exhaust systems including engineering design, analysis, and test support. Execution of complex projects, while managing program schedule and financial work scope to meet business needs.
This role drives conceptual and detailed aerodynamic design, including flow path development, non-reacting and reacting CFD analysis, and rig and engine test support, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to mature technologies from early concepts into fielded solutions for advanced military applications.
