Radiological Control Technician (RCT)

We are seeking a Radiological Control Technician (RCT) to join our team supporting the Y-12 National Security Complex. This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The RCT will perform monitoring of personnel, work areas, and items leaving radiological areas for control of exposures from internal and external sources, and will also calibrate instruments and participate in the planning phase of new work processes.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Associate's Degree in a Technical Field and 10+ years of relevant experience; a high school diploma & 20 or more years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Training Courses – To be considered, you must have record of an active 40-Hr HAZWOPER Training and/or current, non-lapsing 8-Hr Refresher(s).
• Testing – To be considered, you must have record of passing the DOE RCT-Standardized CORE Exam.
