Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The position involves developing high-quality detailed design packages, providing engineering procurement and field technical support, and performing walkdowns in existing plant facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Citizenship: must be a United States (U.S.) citizen
- Clearance: must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interface effectively with various clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees
- Familiarity with consensus design codes
- Ability to work in a production environment
- Experience performing walkdowns in existing plant facilities to generate design documents and provide field support to craft personnel
