Job Description
Newly established start-up in Silicon Valley, California, dedicated to transforming biology and medicine through generative AI. The company pioneers pan-modal Large Biological Models (LBM) and seeks a Research Engineer Intern to conduct cutting-edge research in AI, foundation models, and computational biology. The intern will collaborate on large-scale experiments, analyze datasets, and improve AI capabilities in biology.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time master's or PhD program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch (and/or JAX), Hugging Face, Megatron-LM, DeepSpeed.
- Solid understanding of GPU, CPU, or other AI accelerator architectures.
- Familiarity with LLM architectures and training infrastructure.
- Experience improving ML accuracy using low-precision formats.
- 1+ years of relevant industry experience.
