Job Description
General Dynamics NASSCO is seeking a Crane Operator to operate diesel electric cranes, including portal, tower, mobile, mobile (auxiliary), overhead, and floor cranes. Responsibilities include lifting and moving heavy objects, routine maintenance, inspecting cranes, and coordinating with ground signals. This position involves physical strength and attention to detail, along with the ability to work in various demanding conditions.
Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical and crane operation principles.
- NCCCO License to operate Mobile Hydraulic Crane (All Terrain) preferred.
- Crane Operator with extensive Rigging experience preferred.
- Ability to comprehend ship nomenclature, coordinates hand, foot and eye movement.
- Basic knowledge of weights, conversions (lbs, tons, kilograms) is needed.
- Knowledge and comprehension of universal hand-signals for rigging and crane operations.
