Job Description
The Welder 1/Class is responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality and in a professional manner. The position demands a high school diploma or equivalent education, minimum of 5 years of related experience, and specific welding skills.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Possesses standard tools for a welder
- Able to work different shifts
- Good knowledge of ship board spaces
- Knowledge of weld symbols and general DWGs
- Must have ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to safely hook up and operate a torch
- Ability to gain access to local bases
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
