We are seeking a detail-oriented Nuclear Safeguards and Materials Control & Accountability (MC&A) Analyst to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure compliance with nuclear safeguards regulations, develop and implement MC&A programs, and support operations by maintaining accurate material control and inventory tracking at a nuclear fuel cycle facility.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain MC&A programs to ensure compliance with NRC, DOE, and international safeguards regulations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on nuclear material balances, inventories, and movements to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and reconcile discrepancies in nuclear material accounting and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation related to nuclear material control and safeguards.
- Perform nuclear material risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, identifying and mitigating potential threats to material security.
- Collaborate with operations, security, and regulatory teams to support safe and compliant handling of nuclear materials.
- Assist in developing and conducting training programs for staff on MC&A and safeguards procedures.
- Represent the organization during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews by agencies such as the NRC, DOE, and IAEA.
- Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and advancements in MC&A technologies and best practices.
