This Crane Service Technician is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components in the field, at high levels of quality. The individual must work independently and have knowledge of various types of LMI systems, cranes, and heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Perform field repairs and maintenance jobs with little or no direct supervision
- Knowledge of a variety of different types of LMI systems and able to read and understand load charts
- Ability to set up cranes and operate safely
- Responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM specifications
- Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems
- Recondition and repair equipment and components in a complete, safe, and effective manner
- Perform diagnostic inspections as directed
- Responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner
- Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs
- Attends training at local, regional, national service schools as requested
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Maintains and cares for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Completes all paperwork required for jobs
