Field Applications Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer with a strong embedded systems background who can operate comfortably across customer-facing technical sales, technical communications, and hands-on engineering support. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge engineering depth with clear customer communication and help articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You Will Do

Support pre-sales technical engagements with customers and partners, answer technical customer questions, translate customer requirements into clear technical recommendations and solutions, and assist with hardware setup, integration, and field support when needed.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or FAE role
• Strong embedded systems background, including firmware/hardware integration
• Comfortable working with PCB hardware, embedded devices, and drone systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and concisely
• Confident, extroverted, and comfortable interacting directly with customers and partners
• Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to contribute to proposals, grant applications, and customer-facing technical documentation
