The Truck Scheduler works closely within a team of Schedulers to effectively implement and support the Refined Product Marketing business. The Scheduler collaborates with Marketing, Accounting, Contracts, Pricing, and Analytics internally, as well as external customers and stakeholders to insure the safe, efficient, and optimized movement of products.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Logistics or a related field
- 2 -5 years of related experience in logistics, scheduling and/or crude oil accounting
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and other logistics related certifications are an asset
- Professional CCIT Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation considered an asset
- Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office system
- Familiarity with Right Angle would be considered an asset
- Ability to be proactive, self-motivated and take initiative
- Exhibits analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates s good communication skills and ability to win over truck carriers, producers, operations staff, and railways
- Ability to adjust to changing and conflicting demands, responsibilities and issues
- Ability to pay attention to detail and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment
- Demonstrates a process for improvement mindset
- Exhibits a basic logistics background in rail or pipelines logistics
- Exhibits basic understanding of the various loading facilities in Canada and U.S.
