Job Description
The Unit Manager is responsible for developing and implementing camp unit programs, mentoring and training unit staff and campers, and assisting with camp operations.
Requirements
- Mentor, supervise, and evaluate counselors and unit leaders
- Monitor the work of counseling staff
- Provide feedback and guidance to counseling staff
- Coordinate staff/unit evaluations
- Maintain clear and positive communication with camp staff
- Ensure units fulfill program promises
- Create weekly unit assignments and staff rotas
- Coordinate outdoor cooking program
- Assist with program areas such as high ropes, horseback riding, etc.
