Job Description
North Star Fishing Company seeks a Licensed Mate for their fishing vessels operating in the Bering Sea, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, and Aleutian Islands. The Mate is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and crew under the Master's direction. The role involves navigating, directing fishing operations, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing crew activities.
Requirements
- Coast Guard License Uninspected Fishing Industry Vessel license required: 1600 GT on the Unimak and Arica and 4200 GT on the North Star.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience fishing onboard H&G vessels in Alaskan waters.
