Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Glanbia is a global nutrition company seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Aurora, IL. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and reactive maintenance duties, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain a spare parts inventory. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with GMP/HACCP. Preferred experience includes knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics, as well as experience with dry powder filling and food processing and packaging equipment.

Requirements

• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on machines and their controls.
• Maintain and develop job skills through internal and external training programs.
• Contact, specify, and order replacement parts & control components from suppliers through Parts Clerk.
• Effectively contribute to CMMS performance through timely PM & Repair Work Order completion while ensuring compliance to safety and quality requirements.
• Able to self-train and operate production equipment.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance and training to team members including maintenance trainees & operators.
• Help develop and implement Continuous Improvement projects to improve production efficiencies and Safety.
• Support Daily Management directives and initiatives.
• Conduct equipment inspections to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
