The Community Resource Specialist is responsible for general database maintenance and updates, providing customer support to community partners, and creating routine reports. They will also conduct surveys, edit and proofread database content, and analyze data to produce reports.
Requirements
- Associates degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college
- Two years relevant work experience
- Experience in editing and producing publications and reports
- Experience in gathering, categorizing, processing, and analyzing data efficiently and accurately
- Experience with relational database management & maintenance
- Computer skills to maintain a computerized database, work with web-based systems, and use Microsoft Office products
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Self-directed and able to manage workload with little supervision
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn and apply, the AIRS Taxonomy classification system and standards
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently or as a team member as required, especially in times of crisis or disaster
- Ability to successfully adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
- Knowledge of social and human services network in Sacramento
- Experience with data visualization platforms
- Able to achieve Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) resource database certification in appropriate time span
