Substitute Shelter Staff - Wind Youth Services

Wind Youth Services is seeking a Substitute Shelter Staff member to work with at-risk youth and the homeless population. The successful candidate will provide direct care, instruct, and encourage youth in daily activities, maintain behavioral management, and ensure proper documentation and notification of safety concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with at-risk youth and the homeless population (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form
• Ability to listen attentively to residents, co-workers, and supervisors
• Ability to make independent decisions in a logical, responsible, timely, and compassionate manner
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Word
• Ability to work cooperatively with a culturally diverse resident population and workforce
• Ability to work with community and outside agencies in a collaborative and cooperative manner
• Able to report to work on a regular and reliable basis
• Valid California driver's license & Proof of Insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification within the first three months of employment
• 21 years of age or older
