Job Description
The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and build what's next for their business, all with technology built in the cloud. As a Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer, Networking, you will troubleshoot technical problems, debug, network, and make improvements to the product, tools, processes, and documentation to drive the success of Google Cloud.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in reading or debugging code with one of the following: Java, C, C++, software framework, Python, Shell, Perl, or JavaScript.
- Experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices.
- Experience with cloud solutions: SQL database administration, Google app engine, open source software communities, Cloud networking solutions, or distributed computing technology.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, Peering, Load Balancing, etc.).
- Knowledge of system/network administrator level of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Knowledge of basic web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.).
