The Senior Accountant develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.
Requirements
- Minimum of four to six years related experience;
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required;
- Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred;
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) preferred;
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost accounting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal control analysis;
- Advanced ability to analyze financial data, value information, and generate reports to identify trends and guide decision-making;
- Proven experience working with and manipulating large datasets;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and lookups;
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and data integrity;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team;
- Technologically adaptable with a strong capacity to learn new systems and processes;
- Embodies a customer-service attitude, integrity, and a strong drive for results in alignment with GFS Cornerstone Values;
- Experience supporting team management or reviewing the work of others is a plus;
