Gracious Hospitality Management is looking for a Sous Chef to assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing and organizing the activities of the culinary department to maintain the highest standards of food quality, cost control, and consistency. The Sous Chef will be responsible for managing labor and food cost daily, assisting with costing recipes, and ensuring that all items are prepared properly and timely for service. The ideal candidate will have a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English
- Communicate information effectively and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels (weekend, nights, and holiday availability required)
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or similar subject preferred
