Job Description
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Summer Camp Unit Leader to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience working with children, a sense of humor, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements
- Experience working with children and at least two seasons working as a Y Camp Counselor or as a counselor in a comparable program
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and experience working with children
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to deal effectively with inappropriate behavior and recognize hazard situations
