Field Technician I

The Field Technician I will troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts/equipment on construction equipment at an advanced level while working in the field.

Requirements

• Check equipment and supplies required to perform work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties
• Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, and parts diagrams to troubleshoot construction equipment
• Use lift trucks, overhead cranes, and other aids to lift or move parts into position to be repaired
• Climb up onto, under, and into vehicles to gain access to all parts of vehicle
• Perform inspections, do preventative maintenance, change oil, replace filters, belts, coolants, hoses, may drain/clean/refill fuel systems
• Use welders to weld frames and use power grinders to grind welds smooth
• Lift/carry and position hydraulic rams used to install press fit items
• Use power washers and spray paint equipment to clean and paint vehicle
• Use instruments and computers to reprogram equipment controllers
